She is a fiction writer, playwright, children's writer, and literary journalist. Her work has appeared in Walrus Magazine, Vancouver Magazine, and in numerous papers including The Vancouver Sun, The National Post and The Globe and Mail. She is currently a weekly books commentator for CBC radio one. Her most recent project, When You Were Small, is a picture book illustrated by Julie Morstad (http://w-y-w-s.blogspot.com). A follow-up title will be published in 2007. Current projects include a young adult novel titled "Malone Alone," and her second collection of short fiction, tentatively titled "Absent Mothers and Unwed Fathers."
